GEOMETRIC WORKSHOP BY OLIVIA EVANS

Sometimes when designing a collection you can have a bit of a creative block. Last week we had a session in Geometric designing with tutor and designer Julie Sissons. The session was great and helped the class develop new innovative idea's purely from shapes such as triangles, squares and circles. Julie helped us all to recognise that you don't need to sit down with a pen and pattern paper to create a garment and to be free with your ideas and have a bit of fun.
The toile above was my little experiment. The design is made purely from two simple calico circles!

The session was highly inspirational and for most of us introduced different directions for design.
